Air Fried Crispy Pork Belly with Steamed Broccoli

What truly made us try the Keto diet is the ease of preparing dishes and a vast number of keto-friendly food items available everywhere. As a couple with 4 kids, we have to consider the preparation and time involved in every dishes so we can perfectly balance our day to day schedule. Going on a high fat - low carb diet is really easy. As I walked in the familiar alleys of my nearby grocery store, I glanced upon the outstanding pork belly so fatty that it's screaming Keto 🙂 I went home and decided to air fry the belly.

 2 lbs Pork Belly
 2 tsp Sea Salt (divided)
 1 tsp Gound Black Pepper
 2 cups Broccoli (cut into bit size pieces)
 1 tbsp Butter

Wash your pork belly and pat it with a kitchen towel to dry.

Lay your pork belly in the chopping board and cut it by approximately 1/2 inch thick by 3 inches long.

Once all the belly is cut, you can now sprinkle the 1 tsp sea salt and 1 tsp black ground pepper.

Put the them in your air fryer and set the timer for 35 minutes. (you can adjust the time, depending on how crispy you want the belly to be)

Put the finished crispy belly on a plate and set aside.

Boil 3 cups of water in a pan. Add the remaining 1 tsp salt and 1tbsp of butter in the boiling water.

Add the broccoli in the boiling mixture for a minute then strain the veggies.

Serve the Broccoli along side with your Crispy pork belly. Enjoy!

Some Tip: Notice that your fryer had produced and enormous amount of oil from the belly fat? Do not discard them, instead strain the oil and put them in a jar for future use.
